IS Education and e-Learning
The explosion of digital technologies have impacted the whole sector of IS education and e-learning, where education providers, practitioners and researchers explore and evaluate the ways to accommodate the demands of learners in the new generation. The emerging learning context, changing social environment and the appropriate choice of technologies have been put at the center of challenges.


Eyeing at the intersection of information systems and pedagogy, this track will discuss innovative approaches that assistant IS education providers specifically universities and improve learners’ experiences and outcomes across multiple disciplines. Given it is still questionable how to efficiently turn the 'big data' and 'artificial intelligence' into educational intelligence, this track will also present advanced technologies and tools used in the IS education and e-learning, such as the edge-cutting open learning, educational data mining and learning analytics. We aim to enhance teaching/learning support, ease the way of knowledge acquisition and accelerate the knowledge transfer by IS means, e.g. for satisfying individual’s learning needs.

Effective studies however, are still emerging for guiding sustainable and effective initiatives to improve the quality and relevance of traditional learning management approaches and specific service delivery for meeting the complex technological demands. The demands are not limited to user side such as individualized learning and teaching pedagogy, but focusing on more diversified, data-driven, industry-oriented, real-world problem solving and inspiring demands for various stakeholders (including students, providers, educators and third-party accreditation bodies). A combined or comprehensive approaches, methods, models and applications that cover aspects of learning and teaching process improvement, solution design and research & development would be important for promoting, socializing and addressing issues and expectations from the any points of relevant angles, so organizations and professional or individuals can be benefited with knowledge and learning support.

We welcome high quality research papers in any major topic of IS education and learning. All research methods and approaches addressing key issues in IS education and e-learning are welcomed.
